Insurance
If you have mental health coverage and I am not on your insurance, you may seek reimbursement by submitting an insurance claim directly to your insurer. I will happily provide you with the necessary paperwork including a dated invoice, details of service, and a diagnostic code. You will need to file the claim directly with your insurance provider.
Frewin Hermer Therapy is a in-network provider for:
- Regence Blue Shield
- First Choice Health
- Premera Blue Cross
- Lifewise
- Kaiser Permanente PPO
Things to know about insurance coverage
- Sometimes a deductible needs to be met before your insurance will cover your sessions
- Occasionally you need to be pre-authorized by your insurance company before we begin
- Coverage will vary depending on your insurance plan/coverage
- Co-pay or co-insurance plans are common
Check your coverage and ask the following questions
- How many sessions per year does my health insurance cover?
- Is approval required from my primary care physician?
- Do I have mental health insurance benefits?
- What is my deductible and has it been met?
- What is my co-pay?

FAQ
-
How long does therapy take?
The length of time you spend in therapy may vary greatly depending on your individual goals and the complexity of the issues you are bringing to therapy. You and Frewin will discuss and continually reevaluate expectations and progress. Therapy is completely voluntary. You are free to discontinue or take a break at any time.
-
What is the length of the sessions and how often do we meet?
Typically, sessions are 50 minutes long. Couples and families can choose to have extended sessions at a slightly higher fee rate. I advise all clients the research shows that the most significant progress is made through consistent weekly sessions, but I understand that is not always possible due to schedules and finances.
-
Do you offer a free initial session?
I offer a free 20 minute consultation by phone or in person. Please contact me to set up an appointment.
-
Do you offer sliding scale fees?
I offer reduced fees on a limited basis. Please call to discuss this further with your therapist.
-
What is your cancellation policy?
I understand that situations come up unexpectedly. If you need to cancel a session for any reason I require a minimum 48 hour notice. You are responsible to pay a session in full if your cancellation request is received less then 48 hours in advance.
